Welcome

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to our website. I hope we can give you a real flavour for what makes Arrow Vale such a fantastic and well-regarded community.

At Arrow Vale, our students are ambitious, resilient, and compassionate young people who strive for excellence in all that they do. They are inspired by our values to Aim High, Excel, Discover and Believe. We develop curious learners who embrace challenge, think critically, and take pride in their progress.

By the time they leave Arrow Vale, our students are not only highly qualified but also prepared to succeed in life beyond school – as lifelong learners, compassionate citizens, and future leaders who will shape the world with confidence and purpose.

We are a passionately inclusive school where everyone works together to be the very best versions of themselves. As one of the schools in Central Region Schools Trust, our community benefits from the support and resources of the Trust, providing students with innovative learning and life-enhancing opportunities. We believe in generating innovative and well sequenced curricular and extracurricular experiences in all subject areas, whether it be English, Maths, the Creative and Expressive Arts, Sport, Science, Languages and a whole host of other subjects. Students being able to discover and follow their passion is important and as such our curriculum is as wide and diverse as possible. We aim to give students ownership of their future.
We have very high standards for our students. We expect all students to wear our full uniform, have excellent attendance and support each other through their behaviour and efforts in class. Students are expected to work very hard to maximise their potential, taking as much from the high-quality teaching and learning provided by our excellent staff as possible. We aim to be the platform for them to be the very best they can be.
The news section, the SMSC section, and the Discover enrichment programme, Aim High transition programme and the Excel intervention programme give a real insight into life beyond the academic subjects that our school offers – student leadership at the school is truly exceptional. We believe in student agency and our students help shape the direction of our school community through authentic student and wider community voice. Visitors to school regularly comment on how well our students interact with each other and staff, which creates a very purposeful, calm and welcoming atmosphere in which students have the opportunities to fulfil their potential.

A website can never truly capture everything a school has to offer, so please do come along, and see us in action. Just contact the school to make an appointment and we will be happy to show you around.
